Aerial Skills Workshops (Silks, Lyra and Trapeze)
If you loved the jungle gym as a child, or have ever dreamed of flying through the air with the greatest of ease, this is definitely up your alley.
Dizzy Lizzy Delicious offers group and private classes in silks, trapeze and lyra (aerial hoop). Aerial skills are an amazing way to gain flexibility, core and upper body strength, grace and confidence.
These classes offer an exciting alternative to weight training and standard ab workouts, and are also a great talking point, eg. “What did you do this week?” “Oh, I learnt to hang upside down from my ankles, twelve feet in the air…”
Hula Hoops
Even if you like to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, Dizzy Lizzy can help you gain flexibility and core strength, increase co-ordination and learn a nifty new circus skill all at once. Hula-hooping is a hot new trend taking over music festivals and fitness centers alike, and there’s no one better to teach single hoop skills, separations (spinning hoops independently on different parts of the body), multiple hoops and choreography than Miss Delicious.
Kids
If your kids are anxious for a new after-school activity, or keen to keep up their skills between sessions at circus camp, Dizzy Lizzy also offers classes for children ages eight and up in juggling and manipulation, hula hoops, static trapeze, silks and lyra (aerial hoop). Circus arts workshops are a great way to increase the co-ordination, fitness and self-esteem of children and teens, and a whole lot of fun to boot.
Group and private classes as well as birthday parties are available, and all levels are catered to, from absolute beginners to advanced. A graduate of Australia’s National Institute of Circus Arts, Dizzy Lizzy has ten years of experience in teaching circus arts to children of all ages as well as adults, is qualified in first aid and believes that safety is paramount.
Other Circus Type Things
Being a multi-talented girl, Dizzy Lizzy knows quite a lot about quite a lot of things regarding circus arts. If you’ve got a hankering to learn to juggle, or you’d like to improve your back handsprings, chances are she can help you out. Email dizzyelisabeth@gmail.com with any queries you may have.
